The 1/4 Ounce Britannia features one of the portraits of Queen Elizabeth II designed by either Raphael Maklouf, Ian Rank-Broadley or Jody Clark on its obverse and a design of Britannia on its reverse. The Britannia is a symbol of the quality of British minting which was added to The Royal Mint’s Bullion portfolio in 1987 in response to the growing Bullion Market.
