Description
The Queen Victoria Jubilee Head Sovereign was commissioned by The Royal Mint in London, Melbourne and Sydney between 1887 and 1893 to commemorate the occasion. This coin features a portrait of Queen Victoria designed by Joseph Edgar Boehm on its obverse and Pistrucci’s famous St George and the Dragon. The Sovereign is considered by many to be a flagship coin of The Royal Mint.
